1. First open your image. Mine here is Michelle Branch.
2. Duplicate the layer. Then Filter > Pixelate > Mosaic. A dialog
box will open:
Adjust the cell size to 12 or to however
you want it.
3. And then Filter again the second layer but this time Sharpen >
Sharpen. Then Sharpen > Sharpen More.
4. On the Layer dialog box, adjust the layer options from Normal to
Linear Dodge. Then set the opacity to 50%:
6. I added some
brushes and texts and this is my final image. It's not that great and I
know you could do better. But the whole point of this tutorial is
teaching you how to pixelize.
